NSF Certified Coatings

ANSI/NSF 51 and ANSI/NSF 61 certified powder coatings have been tested to the rigorous standards set by the National Science Foundation (NSF). These powder coatings are manufactured with raw materials that have been deemed safe by the NSF for drinking water components. Manufacturers of pipe, water tanks, transfer fittings/valves, and faucets can specify this class of NSF 61 certified coatings. Manufacturers of food equipment commonly use ANSI/NSF 51-certified coatings for shelving, appliance components, water/ice makers & dispensers, food service backsplashes, shelving, refrigerated storage components and display cases. These NSF certified coatings are for parts that contact both potable drinking water and drinking-water chemicals, providing protection to persons at the point of use. Certificates of Compliance (CoC) are supplied by Andrews Powder Coating, Inc. for these applications.
